Sales Director – R&D Tax Credits & Innovation Funding

Responsibilities
Define, implement and lead the UK commercial strategy and annual sales plan.
Drive business growth through direct sales activity, strategic account development and new client acquisition.
Build, manage and expand a diversified portfolio of clients across different industries and company sizes.
Generate new business opportunities, conduct prospecting activities and negotiate commercial agreements.
Develop and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Lead, coach and develop the UK sales team, ensuring high performance and achievement of business objectives.
Establish and monitor sales KPIs, forecasts and pipeline performance.
Ensure accurate CRM management and reporting to support business planning and decision-making.
Collaborate with marketing and partnership teams to generate opportunities through indirect channels.
Identify market opportunities and contribute to the expansion of the company's presence in the UK.
Balance leadership responsibilities with active business development and management of a personal sales pipeline.
Requirements
University degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, business development or commercial leadership roles.
Proven experience managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a commercial environment.
Mandatory experience within the R&D Tax Credits industry.
Strong understanding of innovation funding, R&D incentives and the associated value proposition.
Demonstrated success in achieving ambitious sales targets and driving business growth.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to business development.
Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Autonomous, proactive and results-oriented profile.
Availability to attend the London office at least twice per week.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
